THE POWER THAT BROKE ME

  

I used to be among the group of thinkers who have concluded on the utter depravity, hopelessness and eternal condemnation of the worst of the worst persons as acclaimed by the world, people without remedy. Dudes like serial killers, suicide bombers, pedophiles, rapists, sodomists, ritual killers etc, until one day in mid 2003 it dawned on me that I WAS AS MESSED UP as all these people I mentioned above are.

That as little as my own sins seemed ranging from white and black lies, malice, immorality of sorts, hot temper, judging people, flesh gratification at all costs, very religious but spiritually empty, proud, boastful, hypocrite, men pleaser instead of God pleaser, not knowing nothing about my God and how to relate with him personally etc, that I was as sinful and condemned  and filthy in the sight of a Holy God as those ones labeled as the extreme or atrocious offenders,…just that I sinned differently.

However, I never saw it coming until it hit me; “BANG”! And I was flat on the ground then I was confused, then I became broken, I dared to believe HIS Word, and then I repented.

It was my Birthday into Gods kingdom, I gave my life to Christ without a blink, I was saved and I was sure in my spirit man that God now sees me as His son. But wait! What really happened, what was that POWER? ...IT WAS THE GOSPEL!!!

And Apostle Paul said in ROMANS 1: 16 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is THE POWER OF GOD for Salvation to them that Believe…..

Yes! The Gospel as simple as it sounds and I too am not ashamed to share it on Social media or anywhere. It was the Gospel THAT BROKE ME and CONVERTED ME! And keeps breaking me and sanctifying me daily. You all knew me back then, no one could have thought I would be the one talking Jesus and Salvation, it was supposed to be for Jew Men, but it fell on me, HE chose me, HE called me by name, like he said “…I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy”.

I was shown Mercy and the Power of God’s word did the rest. What a Glorious REVELATION! Meaning that the most DESPERATE CHARACTER has the Chance, the potential of godliness and could be saved, Hallelujah!

It was the Gospel, it turned me into a Spiritual Jew (JEW MAN), it made me a Child of the Most High God, and it gave me profound peace, not some gimmick about miracles or some campaign about Come to Jesus and you will be rich or any Church whatsoever or some religious manipulations, No! It was the undiluted truth of God’s word which is now so scarce in these days of signs, miracles and breakthroughs that won over my otherwise wicked heart.

I was sick and needed a cure and I got it through Gods word, “THE GOSPEL”, THE POWER OF GOD, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, THE LIGHT OF MEN, THE WORD THAT IS SPIRIT AND LIFE. It did the work as simple as it sounds…..John 3: 16 For God so Loved the World….it went further to say…”as many as received Him, gave He power to become the sons of God”….

It turned my life around, it had to. Like A.W Tozer said “An encounter with Jesus Christ is always revolutionary” Old things passed away literally and otherwise and all things really became new. I became a Brand New Man in Christ with a new record, to begin a brand new history.

He gave me precious Gifts; the gifts of Adoption/Sonship, My Wonderful teacher His Sweet Holy Spirit, Peace like a river and the Joy of His Salvation,…those gifts could be yours too. The Bible said …”buy the truth and sell it not”, I have found the Truth, True Life and the Only Way! JESUS CHRIST the Messiah! Ask HIM for mercy today, ask for the ultimate power on earth, the power of the Gospel to break your hardened heart and save you from your sins.

Just desire Him, it may sound very lofty and unachievable and that’s how the devil wants you to see it, an impossible task, people even think they can’t be freed from the bondage of their sins especially the secret ones, but it’s possible! Just ask God for that power that saved the worst men even down through history till now and forever will. The bible said in Jeremiah 29 – That ….”They will seek me and find me if they seek me with all their hearts”

I am a witness of His amazing love and that Love is still available for all humanity till Jesus Comes again in glory. For all of us, the future is uncertain. The time is quickly passing. You may never have another opportunity like you have right now. My friend, the day will surely come, when those who are not born again will wish they had never been born at all. Jesus died to provide the way of eternal salvation. Why not believe, receive and obey Jesus today? Make a commitment to continue the path of discipleship – seeking to follow HIM day by day and as you do, HE will usher you into peace and joy unspeakable with blissful eternity in view, like HE did for me some time ago.
